In 2005 the Florida Department of Education approved the district's 2005-10 Five-Year School Plant Survey. Florida Statute 1010.31(1)(a) mandates that supplemental surveys be submitted when a school district seeks to construct new buildings not included in the Five-Year Survey. This survey amendment allows for the addition of the Wellness Center at Venice High School. This structure adds approximately 8,160 square foot of instructional space. Upon approval by the Board, the submittal will be accomplished on-line through the state's EFIS network.
